The Bed & Breakfast Association was started in 1994 by five members in order to give the smaller accommodation establishments a voice and to encourage co-operation and minimum standards.
From this grew the Phalaborwa Accommodation Association, which represents the whole spectrum of accommodation available in Phalaborwa.
This is the longest running tourism organization in the Greater Phalaborwa area and is still going from strength to strength.
VISION:
A transparent, reliable, respected body that represent all legal accommodation establishments in the Greater Ba-Phalaborwa municipal area (Phalaborwa).
MISSION:
Have all establishments adhere to minimum standards and co-operate in a safe, prosperous and sustainable environment.
OBJECTIVES:
1. Get all accommodation establishments in the Greater Phalaborwa area to join the Association.
2. Enforce minimum standards for all members.
3. Promote a safe environment for our guests and us.
4. Actively encourage co-operation and regular and constructive communications between all the different types of accommodation establishments.
5. Ensure that all members are legally registered with the Municipality and comply with all regional and national tourism regulations.
6. Encourage all establishments to refer guests to alternative establishments in the Greater Phalaborwa area instead of
losing them to neighbouring regions.
7. Educate all members and their employees to treat guests in a professional manner.
8. Act as a combined voice for all establishments when negotiating with the authorities.
9. Create a collateral buying power.
10. Ensure that the Greater Phalaborwa area become a destination of choice through the promotion of our excellent accommodation facilities and service.
